As a mom, it’s forbidden to play favorites.  I promised myself in my business venture I would throw out all the rules and tendencies of my previous career and life in general.  This includes my definition of success, striving for perfection, and forbidding myself to have a favorite.  So here I am claiming it- This is my favorite stage to date. This project was a combination design and staging project.  I was given an amazing opportunity to first restyle and then stage a realtor client’s (and friend’s) personal dream home at the beach which she also rents as an investment property. I love this stage so much not only because of its amazing oceanfront location but for all the sentimental reasons.  For my friend, this condo is a dream come true for her to live part-time at the beach.  She is generous and shares this beach condo with all those she loves and in-between hosting family and friends she uses it as an investment.  For me, it signifies chasing my own dreams.  I still hear the waves as I hung artwork and fluffed pillows giving this tired condo a second life and a chance to impress future renters with its new online listing pictures. I wish I could put the moment into words but I simply cannot.

In actuality, it was a few intentional moves decisions in the condo that led to this transformation reveal.  We first started with removing dated artwork and furnishings.  Next came neutralizing the paint pallet on accent walls and in the bathrooms.

Before
After

The kitchen looks nearly new with just a change in countertops and an updated lighting fixture.

Updated furniture was purchased for the living room as well as the patio to maximize renters’ and the owners’ time enjoying the patio views.  The magic of staging was achieved with some substantial beached-centric artwork, fresh linens, and lively greenery.   The end result was a project I am very proud of.  My friend and client will testify that her condo was completely booked after the changes we made versus at the time of purchase the condo had several vacant weeks during the rental season.  This is proof that staging and intentional design work!

The best ocean views.  Let me know if you are interested in renting this special North Myrtle Beach condo- I am happy to share the info.
